Description of experimental design : For most of the lines, more than 10 plants were analyzed for each parameter. For phenotyping, rice seeds from the WT plants and the miR528 OE transgenic plants were imbibed in darkness for 2 d at 30 °C and then were grown for ∼20 d in hydroponically at 28 °C, 70% humidity (16 h light/8 h dark), and then the seedlings were transplanted to a field at NIPGR. During this period, the average low-temperature range is ∼22.9 –25.5 °C, and the average high-temperature range is ∼29.7–40 °C. Plants were maintained under routine management practices
