  • Abstract: High throughput 16S rRNA gene amplicon sequencing was performed in biological triplicate with three replicates. The analysis generated an average sequencing depth of more than 100000 reads per replicate, resulting in a cumulative dataset of approximately 318000 high quality reads. The analysis identified a diverse microbial community dominated by the phylum Firmicutes, which accounted for 87 percent of the total bacterial community. Among the bacterial genera, Aerococcus and Pediococcus were the most abundant, representing 48 percent and 26 percent of the community, respectively. High resolution LC MS and GC MS analyses revealed a core secondary metabolite profile that included quercetin with a spectral match of 96.22 percent and rutin derivatives with a spectral match of 95.20 percent. In silico molecular docking analysis indicated potential interactions between the identified phytocompounds and selected insect proteins. Azadirachtin A showed favourable predicted docking scores against the chemosensory protein CSP8 of S. litura with a docking score of minus 8.7 kcal per mol and juvenile hormone epoxide hydrolase of S. obliqua with a docking score of minus 10.8 kcal per mol. These results indicate potential molecular interactions with the selected insect proteins and provide a basis for further investigation. Preliminary laboratory foliar bioassays also demonstrated insecticidal activity, with 100 percent mortality observed under controlled single concentration exposure within four days for S. obliqua and within five days for S. litura.
