  • Abstract: Whole-genome sequencing was performed for 38 Arabidopsis thaliana accessions collected from eight populations across an elevation gradient in the western Himalayan region of India. The dataset was generated to investigate genetic diversity, population structure, demographic history, and adaptive evolution of Himalayan populations in comparison with global A. thaliana populations. High-quality paired-end sequencing reads were produced using the Illumina platform and aligned to the Arabidopsis thaliana TAIR10 reference genome for variant discovery and population genomic analyses. These data provide genomic resources for understanding the evolutionary history and environmental adaptation of A. thaliana populations from the Indian Himalayas.
