- Abstract: Neonatal sepsis, alongside preterm birth, represents a major cause of mortality in children under five years old in low- and middle-income countries, accounting for nearly 50 percent of these deaths. To investigate the role of gut microbiota in neonatal sepsis, we conducted a prospective cohort study involving 8,000 neonates across four hospitals in Delhi.
